Senior Data Engineer Location: Queens, NY Long term Contract We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead data architecture, engineering, automation, and system integration initiatives supporting NYC DOE's Office of Pupil Transportation. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain enterprise data architecture and SQL Server databases Develop ETL processes, stored procedures, workflows, and APIs Build applications using C#/.NET and automation using Python/SQL Support data warehouse, GIS, and third-party system integrations Implement data quality, governance, security, and validation standards Troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize database performance Partner with business, technology, GIS, DIIT, and vendor teams Provide technical leadership on data modernization and reporting initiatives Key Skills: Advanced SQL Server Python C#/.NET ETL & data warehousing APIs/system integration Data governance, quality, and security Experience with large, complex datasets
